You don’t need to have a degree from an art school or be a trained designer to create graphic designs for blog posts, social media, or online ads. Doing all this is relatively simple if you have the right software and know the necessary tricks. Adobe Photoshop is one of the best options because it is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Besides that, there are all kinds of tutorials on the internet on how to handle various tools for graphic design.
#1 Know Where to Start
To begin, you need to know that the first step in creating a design is choosing the color palette. Colors are an important component here, so you must think carefully before randomly selecting them. Choose colors that go well together. If you feel you haven’t developed an eye for this yet, you can use online color palettes. You can use ColourLovers to find a color palette you like. Simply copy the hex code and paste it into the Adobe Photoshop palette.
#2 Choosing Fonts
Whatever you do, don’t use more than two fonts in your design. Nothing is worse than a design filled with various different fonts. It’s cluttered, confusing, and unattractive. Limit yourself to one or two fonts to avoid making your design look weird. If you plan to use two fonts, use one for the header and the other for the rest of the content. This way, you’ll create a good and balanced design.
#3 Avoid Clutter
Too much happening in a design will completely ruin it. Don’t be afraid to leave some unused space here and there to avoid cluttering the design. When it comes to modern graphic design, minimalism works best. Always remember that less is more. Leaving some unused space will drastically improve your design.
#4 Create Contrasts
Contrasts highlight the design and are an essential element in your design. It can be achieved through color, fonts, or spacing between elements. The best way to achieve contrast remains color. If you’re not familiar with contrasts, you can use the color wheel to identify them. Adobe has such a tool.
#5 Be Organized
The last but not least point is order. You need to align objects and texts nicely. Don’t overlap elements unless you want to achieve this intentional effect (for certain types of design). You can insert lines between texts to separate different sections. This will make the sections stand alone, and the image can be more easily perceived by the viewer. This is important, especially if you’re creating designs for ads or informative posts. Ensure that the design is not confusing but orderly, smooth, and well-connected.

#6 Keep Developing Yourself
Try as much as possible to constantly develop yourself in this field. Techniques advance, things change, and evolve. So always try to keep up with new trends. At the same time, remain yourself, with your technique, your way of creating, and your unique style.
