Or from the tablet? Most bloggers don’t publish from the WordPress dashboard. Some do it and others publish from Live Writer or the WordPress application.
Back in the day bloggers wrote from keyboards connected to drives and monitors, with many wires including mouse, net wire, keyboard wire, monitor wire, etc. You had to carry a whole trunk if you wanted to move somewhere and keep writing.
Laptops came later. Heavier, bigger, more robust. Still good enough, that you could take it with you on vacation and carry it anywhere. Inspiration came to you: you were writing.
Some adapted faster and started buying tablets. Too early though because they couldn’t edit images to blog as quickly and well as you can from a laptop.
Then came the super smartphones. With live Writing apps, photo editing apps, easy to share articles on social networks, you can write drafts quickly to go back to when you need and publish them.
This is what it tends towards. Although there are all kinds of tablets, from the iPad to Android or Windows tablets, bloggers will probably end up on phones as well. Some phones with big screens and everything you need, smartphones though that you can do anything related to blogging.
I know, it seems hard to believe, no blogger would switch the keyboard from a laptop to a smartphone, no matter how cool it is, but I think this will come naturally, by itself, without any conscious effort, when laptops will disappear.
By the way, how long do you think blogs will be around?
