…and a proper hydration. We function as organisms that they feed on themselves. Like any living organism we have to consume something. apart from air, which consists not only of oxygen but also of nitrogen. Well, not all living organisms consume the same type of food, but they all do.
Along the time we have refined ourselves. We no longer eat raw food, but we eat it prepared, since we discovered fire, as a method to make food easier for the body to digest. This way the brain was able to consume more, and less energy was consumed by the stomach, energy that went to the brain.
The brain has become one of the most important consumers of energy in the body. In this way we as humanity, as a species, became more intelligent, which allowed us to evolve and become the dominant species on the planet.
But intelligence is not the main characteristic of man. There are still intelligent species. What makes us special is the instinct for preservation and survival. And for this reason or because of this fact we discovered fire. We consume prepared food. It was probably written in the genetic code.
The genetic code changes once every few years.
We need water and food. Likewise, earthworms hydrate and consume soil. Without them, the earthworms would dry up and die. Put an earthworm on the concrete. She will remain lifeless. Instead, by taking a stray earthworm from the concrete and introducing it into a favorable environment such as soil, it will live, because it will have something to feed on.
Likewise, we humans need food and water to sustain ourselves. Without them we dry up. It is imperative to provide the body with these two. Of course, we have the pyramid of basic needs that involve more than food and water. It also includes sex that involves reproduction. As we have evolved, we still need other things. Some of them are social fulfillment, happiness, habitat, which is a house or living space.
All of this presupposes feeding and fueling ourselves. We could say that everything comes down to life, to survival, which depends on food, how we eat, how often what and how much we consume and how do we hydrate, how much, where, etc.
It is imperative to eat and drink water. Without them we can die or degrade. We can work with them to ensure our other needs, such as habitat, reproduction, accomplishments, offspring.
Fasting or willful deprivation of food does not involve a complete reduction of food and water, which many people can do, and it is not difficult at all. I have personally experienced this way of life, and I tell you that it is possible to live on bread and water alone. What cannot be done with this lifestyle is to take it to the extreme, to exaggerate it, because you can also die by abstinence from food and water. It is not impossible.
We used to be asked if we had an appetite by doctors. Now the question is no longer about appetite, but whether we want to eat or not. Naturally, at some point we get hungry. But it is not necessarily. In some organisms, chemical changes occur that no longer trigger hunger, and then it is necessary to make a deliberate effort. It’s the kind of effort that bodybuilders do. They force themselves, force the organism to grow by conscious effort.
By doing this kind of effort, the muscle adapts, and grows, to be able to handle it next time. By giving him breaks he will have time to recover. In this way, extra muscle will be deposited. Which translates into an increase. This growth is noticeable. Depending on how much he has grown, the athlete receives the prize.
