It happens that sometimes we cap ourselves. We can no longer simply make progress. Whether it’s hours, days or even worse, for months, we sit still and don’t move forward. What to do then?
I’m telling you my story one night. It was a summer night and I was working on something on this blog. I couldn’t put a widget where I had decided to put it. Zero motivation. I hung up the laptop and went to take a breath of fresh air. And I said to myself, what the hell, I’m putting that widget on the site. I opened the laptop and so I did. I put it on.
So how do you get over the lack of motivation? You only have one step to take for that. You have to act, to make the smallest gesture towards the action of working. And then you’ll have a better chance of undertaking it.
When you have to read a very thick book and you know in advance that you will not like it, at least read the first words, the first sentence, and so you will see that you will want to move on.
Don’t leave until you’re done. If you will not do it no one for you will not do it. So you are the main topic in your own life and you decide if you want to be successful, if you want to feel good, whether or not you want to not get stuck.
It is always better to act than not to. Let’s think about what we value most: time and health, two ephemeral resources, that is, resources that are consumed. Do we take advantage of them? I would mention a painter whose name most of us have heard at least once in our lives – Stefan Luchian. Although he was very ill and suffered from terrible pain at one point, he still painted, with his brush tied to his hand.
That is, even if the health resource was running out, he was using the time resource.
So some sick people work, although they may suffer from terrible pain or have poor health. While others who also have time and health don’t work. Some can produce ideas. Other physical things, and others just carbon dioxide.
Work can be visible or be less visible without tangible things. For example, a security guard produces nothing. Instead he guards goods. Some even guard individuals, these are bodyguards. The result of their work is the preservation of a good or being.
Some are craftsmen and produce clay pots or pots. They are useful because they provide objects necessary for the production of food.
Other people even produce food. They either sow the land and harvest vegetables or raise livestock. The latter are farmers-breeders.
Some are writers. They produce writings that can be valuable through the character they each have.
The important thing is to take the slightest action, even a simple movement from the finger to get out of the state of latency and set ourselves in motion. Then success will follow. But the work has to be assiduous, on the ropes, and until either your legs and hands are in pain, or you feel that your head hurts.
